Elloughton Primary School Uniform Expectations
The wearing of “school uniform” adds a feeling of community to the school and we are delighted that parents support us by adhering to the policy. It is important that the smart standard of uniform reflects a pride and sense of belonging, presenting our pupils in their best possible light to visitors and the wider community.

Uniform
Please note that jewellery should not be worn in school except watches and stud earrings, However these must be removed for PE lessons. Nail varnish and make-up are not permitted. |

PE Kit

✓ Hair must be tied back for PE.
✓ Optional black or red base layer undertop or shorts are permitted. |
✘ No jewellery of any kind is permitted during PE.

N.B. In EYFS - Year 4, PE kit should be worn to school on your child's specified PE days which will be communicated to parents by their class teacher.
In Years 5 and 6, if the PE lesson is in the morning, PE kit and trainers should be worn to school: school uniform and school shoes should be brought in a bag to change into after the PE lesson. If the PE lesson is in the afternoon, school uniform and school shoes should be worn to school: PE kit and trainers should be brought in a bag to change into before the PE lesson.

Pre-loved Uniform
We have a wide range of pre-loved uniform items available in school. Regular pre-loved sales are held each term and we always welcome donations of pre-loved uniform in good condition to sell at our sales.
It is essential that all items of clothing are marked with your child's name!
This will ensure items of clothing are returned to children if they are misplaced.

Exemptions
As part of the school’s commitment to inclusion, pupils may be exempt from certain aspects of the school uniform policy due to religious or cultural reasons. Requests should be made to the Headteacher. All requests will be considered on an individual basis.
