The Reading Den

At break and lunchtime children are invited to our cosy Reading Den, located near Mrs Fulstow’s office, where the possibility of an adventure or magical encounter is just round the corner. This has been a fabulous way to entice our children to pick up a book.  It is open at lunchtime for our younger pupils and it’s great to see our Year 6 pupils leading a story time or simply sharing and talking about books. By introducing books and reading into new spaces we are beginning to see children engaging with books in different ways. Pupils are becoming increasingly more willing to try something new. As well as a range of story books and non-fiction we have comics, magazines and audio books for children to choose from.
