We are so lucky to have an incredible team of playmakers who make playtimes exceptional every single day. Meet the team...
I love seeing pupils feeling a sense of achievement when they have solved a building problem or climbed to new heights on the pick up sticks.
It’s great to see all the children engaging in all the different aspects of Opal Play and using their problem solving skills where and when necessary.
I have enjoyed watching the different age groups engage together and experience the wonderful opportunities that Opal play has created. I’m sure they will all remember their time fondly at Elloughton in years to come.

To hear the ‘buzz’ and ‘busyness’ in each area is lovely. Also, to see children of all ages playing together and forming friendships across the key stages.
Recently it has been lovely to see the older children accessing the stage to practise for their talent show as the younger children watch on learning from their older peers. Showing no matter how old you are, you never lose your imagination.
I love seeing the children absorbed in their play and when they have achieved something new ie: play a tune on the drums/learn a new dance, they are so excited to show us which is lovely

I enjoy watching the children work out a way of doing what they want, it’s like they have an idea in their head and then use the equipment to make it happen. Also them being able to build it better each time. This is especially applicable to the loose parts zone.
Children no longer have the opportunity to take risks and manage their own safety like we did as children. It is great to see children developing this important skill, negotiating the spaces and with each other as they play.
If you stand back and look and watch, you will see all children are engaged in all sorts of play!

OPAL play recognises the importance of play for every child, no matter their age. Offering them the opportunity to become absorbed in their own meaningful play experiences just like in their early years

It's lovely to watch the different age groups of children playing together, helping each other and importantly all having fun.

Ehen the English weather is dull and the rain looks even worse through the window there is always the wellies and puddles to enjoy.
|
I love to see the children having such a great time playing with their friends and making memories.

I have loved seeing the transformation of our playgrounds from the start to now having so many outstanding opportunities and areas of play. The best part is that there is something for every child to enjoy, which is a really amazing to see and be apart of
