Wearing a school uniform helps to create a sense of community and belonging at Elloughton Primary School. We are grateful for the support of parents and carers in ensuring that pupils follow the uniform policy.

Red sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo
White or red polo shirt with school logo or plain
Dark grey or black trousers, shorts or knee-length skirt (not leggings or jeans)
Plain grey, black or white socks or tights
Red and white checked dress
Black polishable shoes (not trainers)

Suitable outdoor waterproof coat

Jewellery should not be worn in school except for a watch and small stud earrings. Earrings must be removed for PE lessons.

PE Kit
Red T-shirt with school logo Black shorts (sports shorts or cycling shorts of an appropriate length – no markings or logos) Plain black tracksuit bottoms, jogging bottoms or sports leggings – no markings or logos Outdoor PE top – outdoor top with school logo or plain red or black fleece – no markings or logos Trainers PE bag Hair must be tied back for PE. Optional black or red base layer tops or shorts are permitted. No jewellery of any kind is permitted during PE. PE Kit Expectations In EYFS to Year 4, PE kit should be worn to school on your child’s specified PE days. These will be communicated to parents by the class teacher. In Years 5 and 6: If the PE lesson is in the morning, pupils should wear their PE kit and trainers to school and bring their school uniform and school shoes in a bag to change into afterwards. If the PE lesson is in the afternoon, pupils should wear their school uniform and school shoes to school and bring their PE kit and trainers in a bag to change into before the lesson. |

We have a wide range of pre-loved uniform items available to buy in school. Regular sales take place each term and we welcome donations of good quality uniform items.
Labelling Uniform
It is essential that all items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child’s name. This helps us return misplaced items to pupils.

Exemptions
As part of the school’s commitment to inclusion, pupils may be exempt from certain aspects of the school uniform policy due to religious or cultural reasons.
Requests should be made to the Headteacher and will be considered on an individual basis.
